Had a fabulous time snorkeling with Lofoten Opplevelser! I had no idea there would be so many things to see and the water was crystal clear. Good quality suits kept everyone warm, even my 11 year old. Definitely a highlight of our Lofoten adventure. 10/10 would go again.

Lofoten Opplevelser is a dangerous company. The put theirs snorkelers at risk. They do no use fins. The water is very cold and dark. You have a 20% chance of seeing them. The only way to fully have the possibility is to do a liveaboard. It is expensive. You cannot cheapen this. Mostly, this operator does not care about Orcas. They can care less. And that speaks to the guests. In November I got injured with them. I could not feel the pain then. I was hit by a RIB Boat during the snorkel. The captain is not equipped to managed so many tourists, much less non divers, or water sport professionals, and oversee them and their safety. I got hit because the other boat company, speeded to chase Orcas. I went under the boat. I am a trained diver. That is the only reason why I survived and I am alive. I could have died from panic, and from being underwater in cold conditions, I could have died from the propeller. Lofoten Opplevelser never provided xrays, or transfer to a proper hospital to do it, the hospital there si not equipped to treat water sports by the way ( another reason not to put yourself at risk) I have had migraines, neck pain, and shoulder pain. This company is not equipped to do such an activity. These are fishing captains. They do not know the conditions, Ocean safety. And the boats don't even have a dive flag or some flag to show that people are in the water. When I say you are at high risk, with no fins to protect yourself, I mean it. I was in such shock and adrenaline that I did not know how to respond. I have spoken with all operators in Norway and they agree that this should not happen. Be safe and choose better. Or enjoy Orcas from a regular boat.

Please do not go out with them. I went on a snorkel with them in November and they put my
life at risk. I have witnesses whom have supported me through this process. They had zero remorse and continued to do tours with no fins. Luckily I have a video and witnesses. The captain put us in the water, and the other tour operator hit me. Not only do they not care about the Orcas, they do not care about safety for passengers. Listen if you are not a good swimmer and you can’t hold your breathe, and if you had. been in my situation, you could have died. I got very lucky to not have died. The owner of the company bribed me with another tour. Usually accidents that aren’t fatal, take time to discover injuries. I have been in pain in my left shoulder and beck since then. I would either go on a liveaboard or enjoy them from the boat. It is so dark and murky waters either way. Safety is important. And I can be honest and say the company has done nothing to make right or to change protocol and safety measures. These are Norwegian standards. Be safe. please.
