In the city's oldest eatery, you'll find a tiny, trendy café with cheap food, innovative music and atmosphere, and its own art gallery... It serves real French espresso and Italian cappuccinos. But for a little more local colour, the Lysholmer beer from the E.-C. Dahl Breweries in Trondheim is a good choice. There are regular concerts with different guest artists and bands. After crossing the Gamle Bybro bridge, the pretty terrace of the Antikvariatet attracts the eye. You'll want to curl up under a blanket and have a drink. Inside, the atmosphere is subdued, with candles on the wooden tables and bookcases on the walls. On one table, you can play backgammon, while on another, you can play an accordion. A few small dishes to nibble on. At the end of the corridor, another room, lined with books, with multiple beer taps to drink the spectators on concert nights. And every Sunday it's open stage!

The little red house is always full! This alternative bar is surely the HQ of many Trondheimers. Don't hesitate to have a look at their Facebook page, events are often organized, from cultural exchange evenings to small concerts. But one thing is sure, on Sunday at 2pm, it's jazz!
