The hotel was built in 1895, in the traditional Tyrolean style, with tar-coated logs and a roof ridge topped by a stylized dragon's mouth. Originally a sanatorium, the Tuddal was transformed into a high-mountain hotel in 1934 (Høyfjellshotell). Originally, the hotel had an open veranda. Entirely decorated with antiques, its atmosphere is truly unique compared to other hotels in Norway. With its twenty or so rooms, it offers an intimate and privileged setting. Good restaurant overlooking magnificent nature.
