A very nice camp site located on the island of Tromøy, about 12 km from the center of Arendal. Also kayaks, boats and other water sports equipment for rent. Accessible by car but also by bus, train or boat. A family-friendly campground that promises good times. Small events are organized during the summer. Very clean sanitary facilities with all amenities. Barbecue available. A good base to explore the nature in the surroundings and all the activities the region offers.

The largest hotel in town, located right next to the brick church in Tyholmen. The rooms are spacious, with a sitting area and a large bathroom. The restaurant offers a full dinner with fish, for example sea bass, or reindeer meat and a dessert of polar berries with whisky. The nightclub is frequented by people in their thirties and forties, and opens on weekends. Check-in from 3pm, check-out at noon. Fitness room available. Coffee at will at the hotel reception. Breakfast at the top.

At the very end of Tyholmen, it is a luxurious hotel with 60 comfortable rooms with marble bathrooms. One stays there mainly for its geographical situation, facing the fjord. That said, the comfort is quite correct, only the atmosphere lacks authenticity.
