This museum invites visitors to discover the maritime history of New Caledonia. Discovery is organized around four themes: trade sails, maritime migrations, maritime links and buoyage throughout the country, and La Pérouse's voyage during the Age of Enlightenment. Throughout the year, temporary exhibition spaces allow visitors to explore a wide range of themes related to the sea.

Je pensais voir une exposition sur James Cook mais mise à part quelques mention parfois, il n y en a pas .
Le musée nous propose à la place l'Expédition de La Pérouse qui est tout autant intéressant .
Bravo à ce musée qui en mérite la visite des intéressés et admirateurs d'histoires et d'expéditions .
