Youth hostel with a nice garden with 13 double and single rooms overlooking Port Moselle

Located on the heights of the city, with beautiful views of Noumea and the harbor, behind the cathedral, the Noumea youth hostel is a place to stay for small budgets and expatriates. The rules are a bit strict and the distance from the nightlife can be a deterrent. Shared showers and toilets on the floor. Shared kitchen, wifi access for a fee. Individual lockers with padlocks. Separate male/female dormitories. Bedding provided. All rooms have a view on Port Moselle. Nice little garden. The reception is open in the morning and at the end of the day.

Auberge super propre et personnel adorable et super arrangeant! Il y a une très bonne ambiance, les équipements disponibles sont vraiment parfait! Nous avons passé un très bon séjour. Merci!

Overall, it’s a good hostel with city view and located at a convenient location. It is the cheapest option in the town for budget travelers. The point I don’t feel happy is about the church which made bell alarms every hour even in the early morning. It’s annoying.
Luckily my room was not fully occupied so I could stay on the lower bunk. Sleeping on the upper bunk really has risk of rolling over and falling down.
