Waterfront restaurant facing the University with impeccable service and cuisine.
On the Nouville peninsula, this restaurant is located in a historical building of the former prison colony (the building was used as a lodging for a marine infantry officer) and faces the University of New Caledonia. On the waterfront, the setting is ideal for a tête-à-tête: the cuisine and service are simply impeccable. The lounge bar with its alcoves and pretty lights is also a pleasant place to have a drink. At lunch, light or full menus, and in the evening, everything is à la carte.

Agréable le jour pour le repas sous le faré sur pilotis... le soir pour son bar lounge... Les plats sont copieux, de qualité satisfaisante, mais sans plus... rapport qualité prix moyen, mais l'environnement est enchanteur !
I participated twice a dinner aperitifs 1881: Although the setting is friendly and pleasant staff, enjoy their mouth are not at all height (except for the skewers shrimps good but not very practical to eat without dirtying and oysters in small quantities). The bites that make up the buffet are poor quality (it is sweet or savoury). A profusion of laminated with tapenade (not terrible) and we were quickly nauseated. It is a cheap product, that explains why it was the majority of the buffet! Just a shame while it is not difficult to offer choice with quality produce at a reasonable price. After the first disappointing evening, we had all the same let while thinking that it would be the best 2nd time. Missed! We longer will not let evenings at the 1881.
Not welcome children! And that it is a little irritating, if not nice setting
Very pretty decor and pretty setting, even for the aperitif.
