Travel Guide Ngwe Saung

Less than 50 kilometres from Pathein, Ngwe Saung is a good alternative to Ngapali, which is more difficult to access. Here, the pretty little village, bordered by one of the most beautiful beaches in South-East Asia, is very pleasant to live in. Tranquillity and softness guaranteed. The accommodation is quite pleasant, from the pretty gest-house and its small bamboo huts, to the luxurious rooms on stilts of the resorts facing the sea, feet in the sand. The restaurants quickly become our canteens in the shade of the straw huts, based on grilled fish or fresh squid and small vegetables. The days can be quite full if you go to discover the area: snorkeling on Bird Island, the fishing village of Tazin, the Snake Island and its three pagodas, walking along the waterfront to Lavas Island, or the Elephant camp 20 km away. And every evening, we reach the beach, where the sunset is a must over a cocktail in front of the sea.
