Charming, peaceful and green small town, crossed by the Ayeyarwady River, Bhamo is connected by river with Mandalay and Myitkyina. Wooden bridges and dense vegetation decorate this large village in the best way. In Bhamo, there is a small daily market which enlivens the morning life. Among its stalls are mainly kachin and shan products. As usual, the market is a colorful stopover with a thousand scents and flavors. You can reach the city by air with the Myanmar Airways but this option, although fast, is very expensive. It is necessary to count approximately 180 US$ for a simple one way trip. It is also possible to opt for the river escapade. By boat, it will then be necessary to count between 30 to 50 hours of navigation depending on the season and the conditions of navigation, from Mandalay. Or by bus, once again departing from Mandalay.
