LAI TI KYAUK SAR MONASTERY - WRITINGS ON STONE

Ledi is about 50 kilometres north of Monywa. A 120 year old monastery founded by the famous monk Ledi Sayadaw (1846-1923) who taught his Vipassana technique there. The famous universal meditation technique, which in the Buddhist tradition refers to "deep sight". Located in the village of Ledi, it is also known as Ledi Monastery. Perhaps with this second name it will be easier to ask for directions.
