If you come to the pretty village of Indein to visit the Shwe Indein Pagoda, take time to stay for lunch. The Restau By The River, a true haven of peace is a must. You have to walk along the river, get out of the hustle and bustle of the souvenir vendors, to reach this beautiful and large terrace. Under the palm trees, everything has been built with natural materials, around nature, without destroying it. Lunch in front of the river, a real place to live. You can taste Inle's speciality: the Banana flower salad, or the delicious coconut chicken. A delight!
