Built on stilts like all the other monasteries in the region, this small monastery, still in operation, is famous for its teak thein, the consecrated room, and its oval openings, unique in their kind, which sometimes let you see the heads of the bonzillons studying. It is undoubtedly a very beautiful image to photograph or simply to keep as a souvenir, which shows all the charm of Burma. Near the monastery, you can visit a small pagoda, interesting for the interior decorations of its ambulatory.

En effet, le Monastère est très original par la forme de ses ouvertures... mais, il faut aller découvrir la petite pagode qui se trouve à côté, très originale avec ces niches personnalisées.

One of the most interesting temples from its size and its location to admire the couchers and sunrises. Including very good temple, it is often crowded with tourists. An advice to be quiet, visit noon.

Beaucoup de charme pour ce petit monastère en teck. Le cliché du monastère qu'on voit sur les catalogues de voyage, avec les jeunes moines aux fenêtres. Petite annexe curieuse à côté avec plein de bouddhas dans des petites niches pour remercier des donateurs du monde entier. Decors en céramique sur les murs.

If you are lucky enough to get leave- for it (the key! a young monk will hide in her dress to porte...) you will then visit this strange oval construction which resembles outside a mysterious bunker!
Tucked in the heart of many corridors, with superb paintings, magic alcoves, colours and lights... I stayed hours! Do not forget to make a donation with the monks of the place; -)
