In the heart of Inle Lake's main village, Nyaung shwe, the Gypsy Inn, one of the favourite places for small budgets, is located right on the canal leading to the lake. A convenient location for dugout canoe departures at dawn to hunt for the most beautiful sunrise on the lake. Behind the yellow and red painted facade of this colonial building, the rooms are nothing extraordinary, but the inn offers a very good value for money. Clean and equipped spaces, a dining room where breakfast is served, quite correct.
