BAN TAJOK

Ban Tajok is a village inhabited by the Hmong ethnic group, located 32 km northeast of Phonsavan, along Highway 7. It is a perfect example of a village that has had to integrate war into its daily life. As you pass through the village, you will discover fences marking the infested areas, abandoned bomb debris, and grass growing in the middle of shell casings. On Sunday morning, between 4 and 9 a.m., the popular Hmong market is held, which is well worth a visit. The Tad Ka waterfalls are nearby, a popular picnic spot for the locals.
