Tarim is 35 km from Seyoun. On the road you will see, built on a foothills, the mausoleum of the Sayed Ahmed ibn Issa Al-Muhajir (th century) introducing the shafi in the Hadramawt. We don't visit but you can take very nice photos from the road. Avant was the capital of Kindah kings before the Islamic period. From the th century, the capital of Hadramawt became an internationally renowned Sunni intellectual and Islamic center. To say the Arab columnists, there were 365 mosques and so many universities. From the th century, hadrami emigrants began returning to the country. To thank God for this return, the richest raised a mosque, then built a huge house in a style that combined that of India or Indonesia with the massive architecture of hadrami houses, as an affirmation of their prosperity, notably the Al Kaf family who built most of these palaces. Most of these rich entrepreneurs came from Seyoun and Tarim. Today the city, with over 25 palaces, is a royal stop in the Hadramawt.
