Built in 1910 in honor of the martyred saints of Uganda, it houses a reproduction of the pirogue on which the Virgin Mary is said to have appeared on Lake Togo in 1973. Beautiful frescoes depicting the birth and resurrection of Jesus share the building with paintings of black saints. In front of Notre-Dame-du-lac-Togo, you'll discover the tribune where Pope John Paul II celebrated an open-air mass during his visit in 1985.

Belle vue et ambiance reposante.
Le curé nous a accueillis chaleureusement. Nous avons pu visiter tranquillement, à notre rythme. De belles fresques artisanales à l'intérieur de l'église et une jolie vue sur le lac. Vous pourrez y admirer le coucher de soleil!

A visiter en même temps que Togoville, de préférence le jour du marché (voir ce point d'intérêt).
L’esplanade pour les messes en plein air, face au Lac Togo et à l'ombre des grands arbres, est un havre de calme et de fraicheur et de fraicheur après la visite du marché dans le bruit et la chaleur.
