One of the liveliest markets in the region. The Grand Marché de Lomé is a two-storey building dating from 1967. Here you'll find just about anything you can buy or sell. The first level is the stronghold of the nana-benz, who sell loincloths and fabrics for making clothes. Upstairs is a veritable jumble of crockery, tools and salvaged handicrafts. Don't hesitate to mingle in this truly unique atmosphere.

Ravagé par deux incendies en 2013 puis 2014, le bâtiment du grand marché n'est plus en service. Il a été reconstruit et déménagé dans les nouveaux bâtiments de plein pied, en bac acier.
La visite reste toujours intéressante.
