The Swabian equivalent of the Munich Beer Festival. This popular festival attracts 1.2 million visitors to Augsburg.

At the height of the summer season, Augsburg wants to remind the world and its own residents that Munich is not the only city with a beer festival. Although it is less well known than its rival, Augsburg's beer festival does not fall short of the hype that surrounds this festival, where beer flows continuously down the throats and into the toilets. A great festive moment which has the advantage of being more accessible than in Munich for the occasional tourist. The festival takes place twice a year, at the end of April/beginning of May and at the end of August/beginning of September.
