A signposted 85 km itinerary for touring the forts on foot or by bike around the town and on the German side.

The "piste des forts" is an 85-kilometre signposted route that allows you to tour the forts on foot or by bike. The trail forms a loop around the urban area, passing along the German side of the river. You'll pass through Oberhausbergen, Mittelhausbergen and Niederhausbergen, Mundolsheim, Lampertheim and Souffelweyersheim. To reach the forts Kléber, Frère, Ducrot, Rapp and Ney, Blumenthal, Bose and Kirchbach, Hoche and Ulrich. The latter are open to visitors.
