Eichstätt Cathedral is famous for its stained-glass windows by Hans Holbein and its late 15th-century Pappenheim altar. Eichstätt Cathedral features a wide range of architectural styles, from Romanesque to Baroque. Most of the cathedral dates back to the 11th century, but its western facade was redesigned in the Baroque style in the 18th century. The gallery retains its medieval appearance, with attractive pointed-arched openings. After five years of renovation, the building reopened to the public in October 2024.
