A playground and discovery area in the heart of the mountain, on the site of a salt mine. The foundation of the Berchtesgaden salt mine in 1517 marked the beginning of a history of over 500 years of uninterrupted salt mining. You can take the mine train down into the depths to see the salt cathedral.
