Mardi Gras festivities are numerous, with hundreds of popular balls held throughout the city.

At the end of the carnival season, there are three days of festivities: Faschingssonntag (Carnival Sunday), Rosenmontag (Rose Monday) and Faschingsdienstag (cousin of our Shrove Tuesday). In the pedestrian zone of Munich: balls, music, costumes and dances. One of the most beautiful carnival attractions takes place on Shrove Tuesday at the Viktualienmarkt with the "Market Women's Dance" at 11 am.
