A 4 star hotel, full of charm and well located.
Built on the water, above the Eisbach, a small, bubbling stream in the English Garden, the Hotel Opéra, a palace dating from 1898, served as a larder for the king's court (seafood was preserved in ice-cold water). The hotel's façade is reminiscent of an Italian Renaissance palace. Transformed into a hotel in the 1970s, the rooms are furnished with antiques and the Renaissance courtyard is a real eye-catcher. Breakfast included, wifi. Lots of charm in this 4-star hotel, with its rooms decorated with antiques.

Good location, but unfortunately very very tired and small rooms. Service so far ok, but with a strong hint of the Basil Fawlty’s. cleanliness can be vastly improved. Unfortunately all of the hotel needs a complete make over. Overpriced for what you end up with.
