This former Portuguese colonial trading house built in the early 19th century has been rehabilitated into a charming hotel that, by choosing to preserve the original grandeur and style, offers Ilha's history a second life. Once through the big door, the patio is pleasant, there is the restaurant, and bathed in light in the center, the pool, which was once a rainwater tank. Upstairs, the ten rooms are spacious, clean and nicely decorated. It feels like a large vacation home.

The welcome is very agrable, the rooms are spacious and the reasonable prices, the icing on the cake, the food is excellent. French run the restaurant and serves fine and hearty cuisine that uses local produce almost exclusively.
