Chimanimani National Park has just been created on the Mozambican side in 2020 to replace the reserve of the same name. With its new stature, it is more a reflection of Chimanimani National Park on the Zimbabwean side, which is already opening its park to tourism. Its biodiversity is particularly rich: many endemic plants, a concentration of rare birds, antelopes, bushbucks to kudu, warthogs, but no large predator. This reserve is especially worth the climb to its main mountain: Mount Binga, the highest peak in the country at 2,436 m. The easiest way is to climb it on the Zimbabwean side.
