This fair tourism lodge is owned and operated entirely by the community of Canhane near Massingir. Originally created by a Swiss NGO, it has been taken over by Lupa, a Mozambican NGO. Four comfortable chalets with makuti roofs overlook the lake, while six more rustic huts made entirely of straw - but very cozy - are more affordable, still with a private bathroom. Finally, shaded camping is a good option. Meals are prepared locally and life near the community is rewarding.
