Huge hall built by the monks of the abbey, one of the jewels of medieval Norman heritage in Saint-Pierre-en-Auge.
This immense hall, built by the monks of the abbey from the 11th century, is one of the jewels of Norman medieval heritage. Its imposing dimensions (70 metres long and 20 metres wide) make it one of the largest buildings of its kind in France. Under its superb oak frame, it hosts numerous events, including the antique and second-hand goods fair on the first Sunday of each month, and the authentic Monday morning market. The building has been classified as a Historic Monument since 1889.
