INHACA LIGHTHOUSE

Located in the northeast of the island, this lighthouse was built in 1807. At the beginning of the ^20th century, it was an iron tower of 110 meters. In 1921, the lighthouse was rebuilt and became a hexagonal cement tower with a height of 31 meters. Its equipment follows the technical evolutions. From a rotating incandescent light of short range with flashes every 35 seconds to more efficient installations in 1946: an electric lantern. No longer in activity today, we climb 101 steps, what a view! 4 x 4 obligatory to go there.
