In a beautiful, fully restored colonial building, with lace-like architecture, gems and minerals from Mozambique are displayed on the shelves. Welcome to the Maputo Museum of Geology. Inside, there is a large collection of captioned stones and minerals as well as models of Mozambique's soils, from smoky quartz from the Zambezi to a huge piece of rubellite and pieces of bentonite, topaz and other amethysts. An unpretentious, always interesting visit, animated by students.
