To feel the fine white sand under your feet and to do some diving, you will have to move away from the center, the beaches of Polana and Mira Mar bordering the upper city being intended to enjoy the view from the seafront restaurants. In their extension, the Costa do Sol is a very beautiful beach, punctuated with some bars-restos. Fishermen's boats offer to drop you off at Ilha Xefina just opposite. You can easily go to Macaneta beach by the Marracuene bridge, or further away - 45 minutes by motorboat - to Inhaca island.
