Just a stone's throw from Tunduru Garden, The Base is ideally placed for daytime strolls or evening outings. The hostel has a shared kitchen and a sumptuous rooftop terrace. The atmosphere is quiet, friendly and comfortable, as there is only one dormitory with 6 beds and a few double rooms with private bathrooms. The whole place is clean and air-conditioned, a very good point. The Base organizes transfers to Tofo on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. If you book a double room, avoid the one in the basement, which feels a bit like a cellar.

The worst place I've ever stayed in. The toilets(bathrooms)are very gross! I booked because of the good reviews I saw but when I got there it was a different story. The dorms smell terrible, the 2 showers don't drain water you shower in a puddle of dirty water, the other shower is just even more gross. It was traumatic I had to cut my stay eith them short

There are no lockers!

Super Lage, gutes Preisleistungsverhältnis, gutes WiFi, bequeme Betten mit Mosquitonetzen und AC im Zimmer. Leider akzeptieren die nur MZN oder Kartenzahlung und keine US$. Dazu ist kann die Rezeptionsdame kein Englisch, was das Nichtbeantworten von meinen Emails erklären würde.

Good hostel in Maputo. Clean bathrooms, rooms are ok, matresses a bit worn through but with mosquitonets. Location is quite good not too far from downtown. Staff is helpful
