Among the three taverns in the city, we choose the one of Julius Nyerere or the one of Avenida Friedrich Engels. The latter overlooks Maputo Bay from its large and pleasant terrace. It is the ideal place to stop for a coffee facing the ocean and enjoy a delicious treat, why not a pastel do maracujá? Mostly known for sweet breaks, Taverna Doce has become a popular neighbourhood restaurant and offers Portuguese lunch specialities whose reputation has grown over the years.
