OUÉZY EDUCATIONAL FARM
Go there and contact
At this educational farm, young and old alike can stroke the animals, wander through the orchards and venture into the trees...
Like a safari in Normandy! The story begins in 1996, when Hervé de Mézerac took over the family farm at Château de Canon. He planted apple trees and created an educational farm. In 2020, in order to expand, the couple Hervé and Héloïse bought the neighboring Ouézy estate to develop their new farm. Alongside the château, a park awaits you, where you can picnic, play, stroke and feed the animals. The estate covers 15 hectares, with a 2 km trail through the orchards and a tree adventure course for the more adventurous. Here you'll find chickens, guinea fowl, peacocks and swans. You'll also find sheep, pigs, donkeys, horses, llamas, goats, cows and alpacas. Young and old alike can recharge their batteries in an idyllic setting. And on the island of Ouézy, you can even try your hand at pole vaulting with Clément, "le Denis de Ouézy"!
If you don't want to leave empty-handed, a visit to the store is a must. AOC Calvados, organic apple juice, ciders, Apéri'pom or Apéri'poire, or even a home-made farm jam... Take your pick! And remember, these award-winning treasures are made on site using only organic fruit from the farm. Want to find out more? From March to November, tours of the Calvados distillery are offered, followed by a tasting session. Would you like to extend your stay? Tree houses await you for an unusual and unforgettable overnight stay!
