It's a 15-room house set around a large flower-filled courtyard. You can also choose to sleep in one of the 7 funkus, the traditional bungalows. The restaurant opens onto the kitchen and a lovely terrace. As the hotel is built on barely cooled lava, you can feel the heat rising through the floor, so windows and doors are often left open. Casa Marisa promotes local development: 100% renewable energy, 80% local produce and 100% Cape Verdean employees. A wonderful getaway at the foot of the volcano.

Owner's Message
raised at almost 1700m above sea level, in the heart of the breathtaking scenery of the crater level Chã La Caldeira is the house Marisa. Ideally located between the two villages and coalesced Patela Bangaeira.
The house is a very successful combination of an original kapverdischem charm and professional service. The young hostess Marisa has already gained more than 10 years of experience in the hotel industry and offers especially a refined cuisine.
In teaching went with a French chef, she knows how to mix the traditional, very healthy, Cape Verdean cuisine the right amount of finesse and creates beyond several of their own meals.

Amazing food and friendly staff.
Accueil un peu froid mais de bons conseils pour s'organiser.
Chambre dans une des maisons traditionnelles, le confort est rudimentaire mais on sait qu'on ne vient pas ici pour le grand luxe. Le plaisir est ailleurs, avec des activités ou des randonnées organisées pour s'occuper. Il fait chaud la nuit, la lave du sol restitue la chaleur accumulée.
Pour les randonnées qui partent à 6 heures, un petit déjeuner est servi à 5h30 et permet de bien commencer la journée pour partir à l'assaut du volcan. Le repas du soir est très bon et copieux.
A 10 minutes à pied du village où le soir, il n'y a rien d'ouvert. Chacun reste chez soi ou dans sa pension.
