Petit Futé's opinion on MUSEE ARCHEOLOGIQUE
The Archaeological Museum is dedicated to collections from underwater excavations carried out in the archipelago. They come from the many shipwrecks that have occurred throughout history, and testify to the historical importance of Cape Verde as an obligatory point of passage for ships from different countries from the 15th century. This very dynamic museum is well worth a visit. The most surprising thing is to realize that there is still a lot of sea bed to explore, because what is visible here is only a tiny part of the buried treasures.
