Situated on the heights of São Vicente, 2 km from Mindelo on the road leading to Monte Verde and Baia das Gatas, Casa Azul and its 10 large rooms overlook the bay of Porto Grande, offering a unique view of the neighboring island of Santo Antão. The guesthouse also boasts a swimming pool and offers light lunches and half-board in the evenings. Each room is unique, with its own intricate decor. Ideal for digital detoxers or those seeking peace and quiet.

Casa Azul lies just behind the town of Mindelo, nestled atop an ancient volcanic depression. It offers ten rooms in three buildings. Rooms on the second floor (Cape Verdean, Portuguese, French) offer breathtaking views of the town, the bay and the island of Santo Antão. Rooms on the first floor (English, Brazilian, African, etc.) overlook a peaceful garden and swimming pool. The establishment is organized around a number of outdoor spaces, including a winding paved road, a shaded entrance courtyard, a terraced breakfast courtyard, a flower-filled patio and a stone swimming pool bordered by a tropical wooden deck and surrounded by a cactus garden. A charming address not to be missed!

Un très bel endroit pour passer quelques jours au Cap Vert.
The place is owned by a super friendly French family who’s English and Spanish was also very good.
After arriving on São Vicente the owners son picked us up at the airport with a driver and showed us around the place. We got a welcome traditional caipirinha and got to drink it on the terrace with an absolute stunning view. This is also where a delicious breakfast was served including coffee, bread, omelette, yoghurt and freshly baked cake and homemade juice (just right to start your day). They also have a beautiful pool with view over Mindelo.
We rented a scooter and the drive up the dirtroad was quite exciting, but no problem for experienced drivers. Otherwise getting a driver/taxi with the owners help should be the the easiest way getting around.
We also fell in love with the cute puppies playing and exploring around the property as you can see on one of the pictures.
