Church in Eisenstadt with high altar, Baroque pulpit, Esterházy family vault in the gallery, Diözesanmuseum.

On the heights of Eisenstadt. This is the church of the Franciscan monastery. Built from 1625 to 1630 from old Gothic elements, the church has a beautiful high altar and a Baroque pulpit (1750). In the adjoining convent, a gallery houses the Esterházy family vault (1857). What remains of the convent today is now occupied by the Diözesanmuseum (Diocese Museum), which can be visited. A peaceful and rural stopover.
