OLD CITY

In the city centre you will find the castle built in 1572 by the family of the Paar princes. Its beautiful arcade was added in the 17th century. The castle has been converted into a cultural and educational centre. Also to be seen in the vicinity:

The Gothic church of St. Anne (15th century), a place of pilgrimage at the foot of the Pöllauberg with superb views.

In Löffelbach, the remains of the Villa Rustica, an ancient Roman city and, at the foot of the Ringkogel, the powerful fortress of Neuberg (12th century), privately owned, whose small chapel with beautiful furniture is worth a visit.
