An institution in Bregenz. The most recent structure was opened in 1999 and is a busy venue during the tourist season, especially for the annual Bregenz Festival (www.bregenzerfestspiele.com). The giant open-air stage on the lakefront can accommodate up to 6,000 people, and a covered wing can be used indoors in case of bad weather. It is the largest lake stage in the world.
