One of the oldest Cistercian abbeys in the world, in operation since its foundation in 1138, organ festival every summer.
A historic Cistercian monastery in continuous operation since the year of its foundation in 1138. Behind Rein Abbey and Heiligenkreuz Abbey, it is the third oldest Cistercian abbey in the world. Magnificent cloister around its fountain. The monks live from their crops, forests and fish ponds, as well as from the Gobelsburg vineyards. Free access to the garden. The abbey hosts an organ festival every summer.
