A charming house where the musician Beethoven wrote the Heiligenstadt Testament.
When Beethoven lived in this charming house, he was 32 years old and Heiligenstadt, then in the countryside, was home to a famous spa. In deep despair, the musician, who had just learned that his deafness could not be cured, wrote the Testament of Heiligenstadt. The museum is spread over 14 rooms and reveals the history of the house, the musician's move from Bonn to Vienna, his stay in Heiligenstadt, his relationship with nature, money and music.
