CAFÉ PRÜCKEL
A Viennese café-restaurant on Ringstrasse opposite the MAK, Museum of Applied Arts, whose interior was redecorated by Oswald Haerdtl in the 1950s, but which has been in existence since 1904. This establishment is a real hit, and not just with coffee-lovers, and although it's spacious, it's hard to find a seat on one of its plush banquettes, especially on Sunday afternoons. A pianist plays in the evenings on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. If you can't find a seat, head across the street to the cosy Salonplafond im MAK.
