CAFÉ GLORIETTE
In the grounds of Schönbrunn Palace, this café, opened in 1995 in a renovated building, welcomes you in the pure tradition of the Viennese Kaffeehaus. It's the very place where Emperor Franz I used to have his lunch. The choice of Mehlspeise is vast, fromApfelstrudel to Kugelhupf to tarte cardinale. In summer, the terraces are packed. One of the house's hits is the royal Sissi-Buffet brunch, with a glass of champagne and smoked salmon canapé, traditional bread rolls, butter and jam, served in imperial-style porcelain.
