This is one of Vienna's great cafés, run by the Querfeld family, behind the opera house, opposite the tourist office, at the foot of the Albertina and in the same building as the legendary Hotel Sacher. This opulent, high-ceilinged tearoom, with its large, pleasant terrace, offers stylish service and reasonable prices. Here, you can enjoy a meal, an arranged coffee, a selected tea, a sachertorte, a strudel with whipped cream, a white wine with soda and elderberry syrup, all locally produced. Ideal for a restorative break after a visit to the museums.
