The historic Brezl Gwölb offers a 100% Austrian tasting experience with tradition and quality. You can dine on the terrace or in the vaulted cellars in the basement, which exude a pub atmosphere. This is an excellent little Viennese restaurant in the old town, crowded at lunchtime. In the evening, it becomes more intimate, and while everything around is already closed, you can eat hot until 9:30pm... Very good local cuisine at affordable prices, in a charming setting typical of the small Austrian tavern.

A éviter un soir de Nouvel An
Nous avions réservé le soir du Nouvel An. Service laissant à désirer, on a passé plus de 3h sur place pour un plat et un dessert alors que d'autres clients ont pris un 3 services et sont partis avant nous.
La carte avait été modifiée pour l'occasion, plats avec prix gonflés !
De plus, viande (escalope de poulet fourrée) m'a été servie à peine tiède... et CRUE par endroit !!!
Soirée pas mal gâchée par cette mauvaise expérience qui fût la notre...
Une adresse avec un charme certain mais en tout cas à éviter un soir de grosse affluence.
Réservation vivement recommandée.

Très bel endroit pour manger un copieux Schnitzel accompagné d'un verre de Grüner Vetliner.
Et bien sûr, on prend des Brezl en apéritif !
