Hotel Varmaland opened in 2019 after an extensive renovation and refurbishment of the Varmaland Housing Academy, designed by Guðjón Samúelsson and originally built in 1946. During the renovation, the history of the place was mixed with a comfortable and modern design, so that it has become a stylish hotel in the heart of Borgarfjörður. The 60 rooms are Scandinavian in style, where simplicity and comfort go hand in hand. On the top floor, the Calor restaurant offers a 360° panoramic view and tasty local dishes.
