Crater of perfect shape, which can be climbed to admire the surrounding landscape and offering a panoramic view of the landscape
Here is a site which is worth the detour! Visible from route 574, Saxhöll is a small crater with a "perfect" shape that you can climb to admire the surrounding landscape. Accessible to all, the ascent of a hundred meters is done by means of a metal staircase which goes up to its top. From there, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the landscape and the crater. Whether you are sporty or not, this hike is a must, it is very fast (about ten minutes) and easy. A car park is available nearby.

L'arrêt sur ce volcan se prête aux promeneurs puisqu'il est doté de marches pour y monter !!! De là-haut, on a une vue sur le Snaefellsjökull enneigé et sur le cratère et son champ de lave.

Le cratère offre un beau point de vue sur la pointe de la péninsule Snaefellsnes ainsi que sur le glacier. Parfait également pour admirer le coucher de soleil depuis le sommet du cratère que l'on grimpe facilement grâce à une structure d'escalier en acier.
