Featured in a very famous series about games and thrones, Kirkjufell is also very popular among amateur photographers. The setting is green, and the mountain is atypical, with its conical shape. Located on the western side of Grundarfjörður, you'll have to cross the road to get to the most popular view of Kirkjufell, from the nearby waterfall. There is a lot of beautiful scenery to see, and it's fun to see how the mountain changes with the seasons.

Un site naturel étrange et romantique qui attire irrésistiblement. De grand intérêt géologique, en l'observant nous découvrons suite à son érosion les différentes strates de sa constitution.

La forme si particulière de ce promontoire le rend reconnaissable très facilement. C'est la présence d'une cascade a proximité qui permet de prendre une photo de Kirkjufell avec le ciel se reflétant dans l'eau, qui a rendu ce lieu si populaire.
