TEXTILE MUSEUM (HEIMILISIÐNAÐARSAFNIÐ)

As the name suggests, this large, modern building houses collections devoted to textiles. Here, you will learn a lot about how clothes were made in Iceland over the centuries, including embroidery and wool work. You can even touch some of them with the gloves provided. You can also take a break with a hot drink and a view of the sea. A real haven of peace to learn and to get away from it all.
