Every year since 2016, Blönduós has hosted the Prjónagleði - Iceland Knit Fest, organized by the Textile Center. This festival brings together enthusiasts and the curious around wool and textile arts. On the program: various workshops (knitting techniques, spinning, tufting...), conferences, themed competitions, excursions to emblematic local textile sites...
Among the highlights: the Yarn Market, where producers, dyers and boutiques sell their creations, and a convivial knitting café to relax and exchange ideas.
